I’m new to this site and to vegas pro 8 and I’m my learning curve is a bit steep so I’m wondering if anyone out there can help me figure a problem I’m having when capturing video.

For some reason the audio is 32000 hertz and needs to be at 44100 or 48000. I set my “new project” up at 44100 but for some reason when I render I’m not gettin the audio.

Should be simple fix but as I said, the learning curve is killing me, oh by the way, I’m even past the “boomer” age so yep, I’m a bit technically challenged but enjoying it.

Thanks, and by the way, if there is anyone in the Phoenix area that would be willing to tutor, I’m up for that.

    Hi Bill,
Many cameras have internal settings for 4 channel 32k or 2 channel 48k. Cheeck and see if yours may be set to 32k. What camera is it? Danny

Thanks for the info Danny, but strange as it seems, when I got back to my studio and opened the program it rendered just fine. I open the project with audio at 44,100 or 48,000 so it should work just fine and for some reason does.

I really appreciate you getting back to me and ideally I’ll find someone here in Phoenix that may be willing to teach me more about this suite.

    Tks again

    Hi Bill,
It should be 48k sample rate. If I were in Pheonix I would help. I’ve never had any training other than just reading the Vegas help file. I know it’s big and some may be over your head at first but it’s very helpfull and Vegas is in my opinion the easiest video program out there. Just read a little each day and before you know it you’ll be able to do anything with it. Any specific questions I’ll gladly answer. Danny DanHays2004@yahoo.com
