Vegas Pro 18 Render Box
…does NOT appear when I render. I only see a thin progress bar in the lower left hand corner of my screen! This has been reported by a number of users on the vegascreativesoftware web site, with no concrete answers as to why this is happening to some users. I tried several different rendering templates, too, but the results were the same. Some have suggested installing SeMW Extensions, but why should one have to do this to get a render box to appear in this brand-new software (and I am told that the SeMW Extensions box is proprietary to their design)? Any ideas or fixes? Please advise, and thank you in advance.

Sorry, No concrete solution for you as yet Rich Kutnick. Some has similar issues as you, some dont.
It goes hand in hand with each users computer system specifications….. Me, i don’t have that issue but have slight issues in other areas due to my system spec. while some don’t.
But take heart, an update to resolve these slight issue will be here soon….. In the meantime, yes you can use the SeMW Extension, it gives you a beautiful rendering box with more helpful options than the Vegas built in one and its not intrusive or anything like that.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

I cleared the cache (Ctrl+Shift when starting Vegas Pro 18) and restarted Vegas Pro 18 per Magix’s instructions . I imported my saved preferences and tested render as–the Vegas render as box appeared. Importing saved preferences DOES NOT put EVERYTHING BACK that I personalized, however!! It appears that it does NOT save floating windows that have been locked in above the timeline, but every other personalization seemed to come back. After putting things back to where I like them and re-saving export preferences, I tried another render as and the render as box DID NOT appear!!
So apparently I have a plug in or some other setting that is causing the problem. The SeMW Extensions still work and give me the render as box, but I really need to know why the Vegas render as box does not appear after I have the program personalized to my workflow.
