Vegas Pro 13 cost?

HitFilm isn’t really a competitor. As you pointed out it’s a compositing application and of course you can edit video with a compositor but that’s not it’s primary purpose. Premiere Pro has After Effects, Final Cut Pro X has Motion, and Vegas Pro has HitFilm. It makes perfect sense to me.
