    Vegas is installed on my C: drive.
    I edit my projects on a SATA drive and render them to the same SATA drive. Would it be better to render them to a different drive altogether or are we just talking about not having Vegas and the program on the same drive?

    Hey Roger;

    With bare drives so cheap, and those external bays that let you hot swap them also cheap, you might as well try it. $50 for a TB SATA III last week at TigerDirect …

    If you have a fast system (CPU, CPU, bus, etc. ), you might not notice the difference.

    I’m kind of a purist in wanting separate drives for the .veg, temp and render target. Have not done any benchmarks in a while …
