This is the first time for me using Vegas Pro 12 multicam. I was using it with Excalibur version 6. Everything seemed to be working fine. The original videos (three cameras at a wedding) were all pretty good. I used the color matching filter on two of the videos. They looked pretty good after I did that. Everything looked good as I was watching the three videos in the multicam screen and choosing the camera clips. However, after I completed the final multicam process and tried to bring the result into a new Pro 12 timeline. The video from two of the cameras looks very dark. I looked back in the original multicam timeline and now some of the clips also look dark. Is this a known issue? Thanks, Jim

I can’t comment for Excalibur as I use Vasst Ultimate S, but I did report an issue where certain FX (in my case color curves) applied at the track level applied only to the first cam cut in the Master Video track that Ultimate S generated, and after that, was ignored.

When I checked the track FX copied to the Master Video track, the color curve FX was back to default. I had no other problems with other FX. In my case the generated video track did look darker as the FX had not been applied. Without knowing how FX in Excalibur are applied, can you check the FX chain?

I have noticed that Excalibur seems written for much earlier versions of Vegas, and I am aware that Sony has changed its OFX implementation as of SVP 11, which may break older plugins.

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 11 (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

I am suspecting Excalibur also. In my case the original video was very good and the match color filter made it better. What I got in the end was dark video that was much darker than the original. Thanks for your thoughts. Best, Jim

In looking through the VP 12 help contents I saw that track level filters etc would be lost in their multicam process, so I assume that is why my problem showed up. Will have to avoid any track level filters in the future. Jim

My issue with Color Curves was occurring with event level FX. Given you are having issues at track level, try applying the filters at event level.
