I’ve been searching high and low for info on this and all I’ve been able to find is outdated info. What is the best render settings for Vegas Pro 12 for uploading to Vimeo? Any tutorials or directions you could point me in?

    Thank you.

    I use Sony AVC/MVC > AVCHD 1920×1080-60i
It works well and matches my camcorder.

AVCHD is a standardized type of H.264 It includes metadata, thumbnail images, etc.

I upload to Vimeo regularly and use the Mainconcept 1080 for Internet option. I then increase the max and average bit rate so it’s closer to the bitrate of my original video footage, and lastly I enable two-pass rendering.

After you upload, you want to go into the video settings on Vimeo and enable 1080, since uploads default to 720 (not sure if all users have this option, but I have a Vimeo Pro account).

My Vimeo videos look fantastic by doing the above.

Dave, I followed your settings and want to say thank you. I’m getting better results with it.
