There are really different opinions on the net so I decided to ask it here.
OF COURSE it’s called preview window because it’s a preview but a lot of people say the quality choosen while rendering does affect rendered project but a lot of people say it’s just a preview so it won’t affect rendered project so…

What do you guys think about it, if I choose Best(Full) will my final video looks better or whatever quality video preview windown has won’t affect my final video?

    Here’s a Task for you:

    1 – Render at Preview

    2 – Render at Good

    3 – Render at Best

Now view the finished renders and also make a note of the files sizes.

    Job done!

    Wow you’re a genious LOL
Seriously why wasting time on that test if somebody already did it and have results?
I didn’t ask how to measure it, I asked results 😉

Nope that’s why we have forums, to get results faster, if we’d all get results by ourselves………….forums wouldn’t exist 😉

It doesn’t matter what you have the preview set to while editing, once you start the render process, it will switch to either the setting in the Project Properties or the setting in the Render Template if the template is set to override the project properties.

You should notice that during a file encode render that the preview window is always at best/good full. Best or good based on your preferences. This will be the case if your are editing at preview or draft quality.
