Vegas Pro 11 Rendering Issue
Posted by Mark Tara on January 15, 2013 at 4:03 pmHi there
I am working with SONY VEGAS PRO 11 to create music videos.
I hope someone can help me.I am running a WIN 7 Laptop
I have NO issues RENDERING short clips, HOWEVER when I try to render a clip longer than 1 min it plays fine then when it gets to about a min it starts to stutter and then the image freezes.
I have included screen captures of my VEGAS PREF. and HD TEMPLATE
SYSTEM – I hope this helps as well
I hope someone will be able to help me with my issue. Thank you in advance.

January 15, 2013 at 4:44 pmUninstall and reinstall using the latest build.
Even if its the latest build you have, still reinstall Vegas.Steve Rhoden

January 15, 2013 at 5:51 pmHere is the latest build of Vegas 11 from the site.
https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/link?id=6503.1
Download and install this.
Was always hard to say what specifically are the problems
in regards to Vegas 11, sometimes simply reinstalling helps.Steve Rhoden

January 15, 2013 at 6:14 pmHello again Steve
Can you tell me where I can find my FX plug in for SVP11.I have some downloaded presets that show up under Filter packages in the track FX button BUT I cant seem to find them in my PROGRAMS FOLDER UNDER SONY – do u have any suggestions where these maybe hiding?
I see the individual folders in my PROGRAMS FOLDER for NEAT – MAGIC BULLET – PIXELAN etc but I cant seem to find my FILTER PACKAGES folder can u point me in the right direction.
If I re-install I would hate to loose my presets
Thanks Steve

Any thoughts on your part

January 15, 2013 at 11:00 pmTry rendering using Quicktime instead and in the Custom
template select the Photo-Jpeg Video Format and set it to 75%.That’s normally my preferred render format for most of my renders
for a lot of reasons.Steve Rhoden

January 15, 2013 at 11:35 pmHey Steve
As I write this email I’m trying the QT render.QUESTION:
my projects are for TV and INTERNET – if this render goes well will it be high enough quality for TV broadcast?FYI – I set it to 1080p etc
I’m sure it will be fine for the internet.
Thanks for ALL the help – as you maybe able to tell I’m new to all this and learning as I go with the help of experts like yourself
Please let me know
Thanks again for your time Steve!

January 16, 2013 at 2:45 amYes, (Quicktime, Photo-jpeg, 75%) is a viable format for both
Internet and Broadcast Ready delivery.
Its a format that Broadcasters can drop in any software
they use and do as they wish, and can also be further
compressed/converted for Internet delivery.Steve Rhoden

January 16, 2013 at 2:51 amHi Steve
thanks againUPDATE
I ran a test with you render settings worked like a charm
I upped the 75% to 100% and worked as well.
Does it make a difference 75% vs 100%
OR
is it interchangable
Thanks Steve – I’m almost there!
