I’m having the green frame issue in a vegas pro 11 render. The render template is the Program Stream NTSC Widescreen MPEG2, with the variable bit rates changed to match my filmed footage, and the output type set to MPEG2.

My filmed footage is in .MOD format. 720 X 480. Color space YUV. The veggie also includes titles, some special effects on the titles, extra music, and fades on most of the clips.

When I render, there are 3 spots where there are 1-2 frames of green. It is the exact same each time I try to render. The spots are all areas where I have two consecutive clips of footage I filmed; there is typically a green frame or two in the transition (which again, is just a direct transition, no effects).
It occurs in this format: clip-greenframe-clip.
But when I have: clip-fadeintonextclip, it does not occur. That is not a crossfade, but just a situation where the second clip fades in.

If someone could point out why this is happening (as I’ve seen that the “green frame” issue happens alot) and how to fix it, I would be grateful.

I have not tried reinstalling vegas. If I remember correctly, I did not install any codecs after installing vegas, but I’m not 100% sure about that.

Yes, that green frame issue pops up rarely for some
users as far back to earlier versions (including me) and this
occurs when rendering to the mpeg2 format, Its a codec issue,
but never can get to the bottom of it specifically.

So should I reinstall vegas or maybe reinstall certain codecs?

    Anyone else have an idea?
