  • Vegas Pro 11 – glitches when rendering more than two projects at the same time

When I try and render more than two projects at the same time, the preview window starts glitching and the final rendered mpg file also shows those glitches. Not sure if this is a resource issue. I have 8 GB of RAM and I just recently installed a EVGA GTX570HD card.

Please let me know what the fix would be. If it’s just a setting problem, please point me in the right direction. If I need to buy more RAM, I can.

When I’m rendering two projects at the same time with no problems, the CPU usage hovers between 99 and 100%. I have a AMD 1090T hex-core running at 3.2 GHz.

When this has happened to me the glitches came from third party OFX plugins that did not like running concurrently (for which there was no solution.) What kind of effects do you have on the two projects?

I don’t use any third party plug-ins beside Ultimate S Pro. I don’t believe that should affect anything.

There are no effects on the video.

I have rendered up to 4 projects simultaneously in SVP10 and SVP11 with Ultimate S Pro 4.1 without any issues. My preview does stutter but that does not translate into the final product.

What are you delivering in? DVD? File?

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 11 (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

I agree with Nigel, the preview glitching when the processor is heavily loaded should not make it into the final MPEG file.

more RAM *may* help, but I always recommend loading your motherboard with the maximum amount of RAM that it will hold.

I have a jpg file of my business logo and some wording that I put in the lower right corner of the video, like an overlay. The glitching that I get is that the logo shows as full screen in black at times. To fix it, I normally close down Vegas and re-open. Normally that clears up the glitching.

Is there any explanation for why this happens?

This shouldn’t happen. Are you resizing the image in Vegas or is it alreadt properly sized in the JPEG file?
