  Vegas Pro 10d any audio event without fx suddenly muted

  Hi;

  This is the second time I have experienced this maddening problem. I have a 20 minute project consisting of about 100 events. All the audio is on one track. On some but not all events I added audio FXs – nothing complicated, just some graphic EQ. On all or most events in the project I also adjusted the gain with the slider in the event. Everything is fine until suddenly one day, any event that does not have the FX applied is silent!

  If I go and “touch” an event with the problem – in other words, apply any audio FX (so I see it in the event chain) and then remove the FX, that event will once again have sound.

  But, to do this work-around to all the events with the problem will take hours of clicking.

  One other hint that might help. As the project plays, there will be a short burp of sound as any event with the problem is encountered. Also, the problem seems to have started when I did some “remove from group” selecting in order to move sections of event selections around.

  I’m very worried about this. Pro 9 never experienced it. I am now afraid to use any event-specific FX.
