Vegas Pro 10 – sync problem on render
When rendering out to a DVD mpeg, I am losing audio sync. It plays back fine from the timeline – no sync problems anywhere in the 20 min length. Problem appears about 2 minutes in – it does not get worse over time. On a previously rendered piece of 45 minutes there were no problems.
The audio track is not the original that came in with the video – it was cleaned up in Sound Forge and brought back in. It has been carefully, frame accurate, synced on the timeline. All settings match – video is 29.97 orig and timeline, audio 48 – 16 orig and timeline.
This one really has me frustrated.
Any ideas? The sync problem only appears in the rendered file.

I have seen plug-ins cause this problem. BIAS Sound Soap 2 was one of them. If you processed any audio with it, it would write the audio back with a delay.

Not using Bias – Sound Forge 9 was used to clean the audio. This is a normal process in our work flow and has never created any problems – cutting the audio – cleaning then placing it on the timeline – rendering to dvd/mpeg – it has worked perfectly – until now. The audio is the audio track from the imported source file – it is not resampled.
