I’m moving editing to a new i7 machine with 16gb memory running Windows 7 64bit operating system. I’ve installed Vegas Pro 10 (64 bit) and DVD Architect 12 (32 bit). When it is time to register the apps, I get a message advising that there is a problem. Following instructions on Sony’s help screen I enter machine number for an special authorization code and ultimately am told that I’ve entered an invalid serial number. But in each case, the numbers are correct. I’ve checked and double checked.

Is there something I’ve missed in Sony’s instructions? Is there a secret phone number for support from Sony? I’ve never received a reply when I’ve sent e mail to Sony.

But I really like my new machine!

Make sure you aren’t entering a zero for the letter “o”, or vice-versa…

The support number for Sony is no secret, but you should be calling customer service (not tech support) for activation or serial number problems.

You should open a new topic to get the best response.

Vegas allows you to drag things around, and tends to “attach” things to a new position easily. Simply click and drag it away from its new home and drop it where you want it.

    Hi all.

Regarding my post that started this thread, I finally figured out how to get help on line from Sony. Problem had been too many installs, as I’d had some hard drive crashes and changed machines. Help from Sony was very prompt. Thanks for the help in finding the help.
