July 13, 2011 at 11:10 amLike I said, you may have to convert the non-standard footage that this camera produces in order to be able to edit it. It’s probably a fine camera for people who just want to shoot and watch or upload to YouTube… not so good for people who want to edit. 🙁

July 18, 2011 at 6:35 amWhen I upgraded to Vegas 10, it quit importing files from the Flip for me as well (64-bit OS/64-bit Vegas). Upgrading to the latest version of Xvid at xvid.org fixed the problem for me. Hopefully that will help you too.

August 3, 2011 at 8:40 pmXvid huh, not divx? Unrelated, but that seems oddly similar.. Codecs are confusing. I’ll have to give it a try. If anything I’ll contact support for the camera and see if there’s a way to change the format type… It’s kind of disappointing that phone cameras can do more and I just got this…. :-/
