I am using vegas pro 10E build 738. programs I have installed: quicktime pro, dvd architect 5.2, Core ftp LE, AVG virus free version, Vegas studio platinum 10HD, cccleaner, periform defraggler, cineform neoscene, google chrome, a netgear device to hook into our wireless connection and an HP printer.
My computer uses an intel processor 2.93GHz 4 gig, 64 bit windows 7

I am having massive render issues. I have been for 2 years actually. I get it to finally work, it does for a while, then starts crashing and I have to reformat and start again.

Right now, I just did a reformat two days ago. This morning, I got vegas to render a 12 second clip at full HD. I also got it to render a 1:42 mp4 at 720×480

I tried to render a longer video of 4:52. It got to 68% and crashed. I tried a couple of times. Then I tried a shorter video of about 2 mins and got the same results. The error message is:
An error occurred while creating the media file. An unsupported type was requested.

I tried to render as an mov and got the same message:
an error occured while creating the media file. An unsupported media type was requested.

Anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this? I have a 90 ish minute film I’m trying to finish.

    thanks,
    Melissa

I at times still use Vegas 10.0e (32bit) on my other computer, it is solid and was a stable release, So try installing and use the 32bit version instead and see.

I agree with Steve. Go with build 737 32bit version of Vegas Pro 10

You only have 4GB of RAM in your system, so there is really no advantage to running the 64bit version of Vegas, since a main driver for using the 64bit version is to utilize more memory than 4GB (i.e. 12GB)

Thanks guys. Someone on another forum suggested that I remove AGV and that worked. No issues rendering now. (I installed an anti virus from microsoft)

Thats good. I was also about to mention for you to remove that Anti
virus from your system, if Vegas 10 (32bit) gave you the same problem.
