    Hi

I have incorporated a Sony Test Pattern: Colour Bars (PAL) into a project. The rendered project on my TV shows the bars correctly: white, yellow, turquoise, etc. But the video is warmer on the TV than in Vegas. The strange thing is the colour bars in Vegas show yellow as a darker shade of yellow, similar to the second bar in Yellow Porches – being one of the Test Patterns. When the project is rendered to DVD the yellow is rendered as bright yellow. I also noticed that the colour bars for NTSC have white as being a shade of grey as well as the darker shade of yellow.

I have carefully adjusted several project events to improve the project footage so would like to ensure that the project can be rendered at its optimum quality.

Did you calibrate the monitor you edit on?

[Russ Froze] “Did you calibrate the monitor you edit on?”

    Hi Russ

No I have not taken any steps to calibrate my monitor or should I say LCD display. I have checked on https://www.lagom.nl though and it is set up correctly. Viewing some color bars on Youtube on two different displays there is no difference.
