Vegas Plug-Ins
Hi folks
Wondering if anyone can suggest where to find an additional software or some kind of addition for Vegas to improve the character generator.
I googled for one but didn’t come up with much.

You have many options for better text. In fact, Vegas COMES with one – Boris Graffiti Light. Boris Red offers the same functionality but us much more expensive. Boris Red or the full Graffiti package works directly on the timeline. Another one that works directly on the timeline is Heroglyph. There’s another one by Cayman Graphics.
You can also use external programs, render to AVI, and import those into Vegas. Common ones include BluffTitler, Cool 3D, and several Flash programs.

Hi All,
I recently made a title video fx in Heroglyph 2.5 and export as avi to use in vegas pro 8. The title fx text is blue and background is gray. In vegas timeline how do I remove the gray background so that only text is showing or overlay on my video?

What you could do is add the secondary color correction to the scene with the gray back ground. Select the gray background with the SELECT EFFECT RANGE pipet and place the alpha slider to zero. You can adjust the mask with the sliders under LIMIT LUMINANCE.
