When in preview, everything looks to be just fine. No real problem at all until render. When I render the video, the clips that have effects applied freeze mid way with the effects still working. I found this common on forum and tried to find solutions but none have worked for me. This is the first time this has happened and usually I edit much longer videos but this is not even 30 seconds and its really stressing me out. If there is any way you could help, please reply.

    1280×720
    23.fps mp4
    Windows 8
    6 GB RAM

I am not sure if that helps but there’s some information.

    Hi Nate

I see that your file is at 23 fps. What was your source material from ?

    Cheers !

I pulled some videos from YouTube and some videos from my screen recorder. Only two or three of the clips are 23 fps which (by default) sets the properties of the project file/clips to 23 fps.

    Hi Nate

Try converting your downloaded file (before it ‘s imported into Vegas) with Handbrake. Make it an uncompressed format that will be 29.97FPS.
Import that file in Vegas and let me know if you still have the same problem.

    Cheers !

The file is already mp4. Changing it to uncompressed will do what exactly?

What I’m trying to do is fix the problem without having to re-add clips and/or edit them over again. This has never happened before and I have no idea why it would be happening now.

    Hi Nate

Can you give me a link so I can upload a short clip of the problematic file ?

If possible the original, un-edited file and the rendered file.

It would be easier for me to better understand your predicament.

    Cheers !

    Hi Nathan

I think I’ve narrowed it down to your Sapphire plugin. My suggestion is to re-install the plugin. Something go corrupted along the way. If the problem persist, try contacting the good people at BorisFX. I am confident that they will find a solution for you.

    Cheers !
