Vegas Movie Studio – Playback problems followed by Vegas crashing
Hi all,
I have been working on a project the past year which I am almost finished. I just need to do the music for it. Yesterday evenin, I sat down and watched my entire project throughout without any stutter problems on playback. The entire project played right through smoothly, and it did so a few times. Today has been a nightmare. I switched my computer back on and all of a sudden the playback is really slow. As I watch the playback on the preview screen, I see that the display details regarding the frame speed are seriously lagging (footage at 30p and display goes as low as 0.1). I’m really freaked. For some reason, the playback is acting up and I can’t understand why when last night playback ran smoothly even after a number of playbacks. I’m guessing some are going to suggest the processor speed but that doesn’t explain how it played back without any problems last night and then today it’s a different story. I need smooth playback when I’m doing the music for the project so I can compose the music in sync with the film. Please help because I am on a deadline with this….. -

Oh, I forgot to mention about the crashing….
When I let the playback play throughout the project, all the way through, even though it is choppy and skipping, at the end of the prject, the entire program freezes and the only command it will allow for is to close the program down. Please please help….
