Vegas just disapear
Hi I’ve been having this problem for a few days now, while working with vegas 7 it takes like 1 minute and it closes by itself, sometimes I can see it coming, it acts like a skipping record then it just disappear without any warnings.
I am running XP Media centre
Vegas 7
HP Pavillon dv-9000 AMD Turion duo core
500gb Seagate external trough USB.Any idea why this is happening?

As harsh as it seems, my first bet would be Media Center coupled with USB.
Try firewire vs USB, as 1394 has its own resource allocations vs USB being CPU dependent. Media Center isn’t exactly known for stability and content creation. -
That’s what I was thinking. So you think that using the firewire port on the hard drive would make a difference?
I can experiment too much to troubleshoot the problem. I have 29gb of footage for that project. Was thinking of dumping everything on my desktop and see the reulst with an internal drive.I’m gonna try the firewire option tomorrow and let you know what happened
