Vegas imports video at bizarre frame rate
When I drop a particular quicktime file on the Vegas 12 timeline, Vegas thinks it has a frame rate of 1.844(?!) and when it plays it looks terrible as you would expect. When I drop the same file on the Vegas 11 timeline, Vegas thinks it has a frame rate of 29.97 and it plays just fine.
Now, obviously since I have a deadline I will go ahead and use Vegas 11, but I’d like to know: what is going wrong in Vegas 12 to account for this, and how can I fix it?

It’s probably a bug in Vegas Pro 12.0 and there is nothing you can do to fix it because Vegas Pro 12.0 is no longer supported. See if Vegas Pro 13.0 has the same problem and report it to Sony if it does. Then you have a chance of them fixing it.
