I have a slow pc but 8 gigs of ram and a gforce 440. As I run through some more intesinve files in vegas my fps continually drops. It will start at 30 then down to 1 over the course of a couple minutes. If I restart the program it will go back up to 30 then down to 1 again. It seems like it is a ram issue. Not sure if there is a way around this or I have some bad ram.

If i turn off the video card and use the onboard it does the same thing only faster.

    Any ideas?

Thats how Vegas behaves when you have a slow computer.
Which version of Vegas do you have?

This is normal. You have used up all the preview RAM and Vegas has to build the preview frames in the HDD. If you only have one HDD, then things will really get slow. To prove or disprove this, change the amount in your preview RAM setting.
