Vegas “exception” occurs when I try to import media
Hello, I just downloaded Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum, and whenever I open my project and import video files from my flash drive, it reads “An error occured during the current operation.
An Exception has occured”Does anybody know what I need to do to fix this? I’ll try reinstalling it in the meantime.
Also, if someone could respond ASAP, that would be fantastic because I have a video project due later this week O_O

What kind of files are these? Are they in a format that Movie Studio supports? Note: Vegas doesn’t support DivX or Xvid.

I’m fairly certain it’s Quicktime, which I think Vegas supports :/

Quicktime is just a container for the video. What’s important is how the video is encoded and that depends on the codec that is being used. Open the file with the Quicktime player. Does it play? Open the Movie Inspector (Windows | Show Movie Inspector (Ctrl+I)). Look at the Format of both the Video and the Audio. What does it say? These are the formats that Vegas must support in order to be able to edit the video.
