vegas detecting sony fx7
I had been capturing both hd and sd footage w/sony fx7 just fine.
I can still capture hd footage in vegas just fine, but now i get a msg w/sony vidcap6 that it has lost connection w/fx7
restarting computer, different cable etc – no change.
so what suddenly happened that i can capture sd footage w/vidcap6 w/sony fx7???

Did you put the FX7 in DV Downconvert mode? Vidcap will only see the camera when it’s emulating an SD miniDV camcorder. You need to place your camera in the proper mode to do this. Then don’t forget to switch it back to HD mode for capturing HD footage.
