  • Vegas crashing when applying vegas stabilization to 4K video

Posted by Ramon Trotman on December 30, 2016 at 1:41 pm

Good day, I am looking for some help. When applying the vegas stabilize filter to help smooth out some of my panning 4K shots, Vegas crashes before completing the task.

I’ve tried the process with 1080 footage and it works well, but when trying with 4K, it crashes. I’ve tried enabling and disabling GPU acceleration, but the issue remains. Has anyone else ran across this issue?

    Error details below:

Old mercalli 2 (the one native to last few vegas versions) does not support 4k – it crashes.

You need to upgrade to mercalli v4 either by buying vegas 14 with mercalli or if using vegas 14 “edit” version then get it from ProDAD (or sometimes vegasaur site has a deal).
