vegas crashes
I have spent many hours restoring crashes of my movie project. So much time in fact I am almost ready to say screw it and take up another occupation. I have spent too many hours recovering from crashes which someone from Sony should have a solution. The project is ready to render but during the render it crashes. I have found that a still photo is the cause. There does not seem to be a way to readily locate these photos before hand. . Fortunately if the crash is a greyed out display it is easy to find the frame where it happens and go remove the photo. But how many are there? You have to run a render to find them or do a fast forward with the right arrow which may or may not find it. Besides if it does it will also crash the project. There are more ways but these work faster. But all this takes time. Besides it took considerable time to figure this out. I have checked the photos down to the containing folder and there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with with the jpg. Garden variety jpg less than a one meg size. These have been imported into a folder from another hard drive into c drive. If anyone knows why this happens I would appreciate it.
vegas is a great program if it works. But sony is leaving it to the customer to provide the help that sony should be doing. If this is the way sony handles the rest of sony it is no wonder the stock is down into the junk status.
Merry Christmas
Hope to see you
