    hi there,
the issue is really strange, so i kindly ask if anybody has any idea what this is or how i can fix it, or maybe this is another SV11 bug.

    i have windows7 x64 SV10x32 and SV11x64 both installed.
i work on mxf – mpeg2 from canon professional camera xf100.

    description:
    1)
i drop exactly the same media on the timeline of sv10 and sv11.
    2)
    sv10 performs ok
    3)
with some of files in sv11 i got what you can see below, which is: the edge of the event doesen’t correspond to the preview window and to the content of the event and original media. in the preview window i see what i should see. on the event’s edge on the timeline i see a frame from another event which i have on the timeline, somewhere else. what is more the frame looks like a bad, corrupted one. when i render the selected event (with render only the loop area) the beginning of the output is corrupted, it is another bad frame from the timeline flickering for few frames and after that it goes to normal. i know the solution – i have to manually trim one frame from the corrupted event to make everything ok. but the question is: what the hell is going on here?
another part of this issue is that sometime the file looks corrupted in the media bin when it is switched to thumbnails but previews normal, sometime looks ok but previews corrupted.

and sometime the timeline looks good but i have a bad frame in the preview window. it looks likes there are no rules, it is all random.

after i reopen the project it is all back to ok but when i work long and i have a lot of media files the issue comes back.

very very strange. please guys anybody has a clue?
    thank you,
    paul

    Paul,

This is a long-shot but, is it possible that your quantize to frames is turned off when you add the media to the timeline. The codec may be trying to render a partial frame.

    Give it a try.

btw, how did the unwanted lines when masking thing work out?

thank you for the try. no, it is not quantizing, i can see unquantized stuff in red.

does it mean that nobody else have this issue???

masking issue remains uncertain as i got myself into several projects and i temporarily run out of time for further tests 🙂

    thanx

to Steve: yes i posted it before under different, not to clear subject.
