    Hey,
I am capturing HDV from a jvc gy-hd100 to Vegas 8.0b. Now I havent captured in about a week from my camera.

It is one long take with no stopping. The problem is Vegas will capture the tape BUT brakes it up into 10-20sec. clips.

I never had this problem before. I went to the Preferences and manually set all the parameters and nothing It still brakes it up into small clips. Help!! please anyone? Thanks a bunch!!

I would be very interested in any answers to this question. I have had the same problem with HDV captures (from FX1) One long (1 hour) scene with no stopping of the camera during thst time. When captured Vegas breaks it into 5 different scenes of varying lengths.
I do not have FAT32 drives
    I am capturing via firewire
I also lose a small amount of the video between scenes.
I am capturing to separte drives from the OS.

I also had the same problem and it also made my audio sound like everyone was underwater. I would be interested in the solution also.

    Ok,
Are any of you using different tape then normal. I just switched tape and now its working fine. Try using a different kind of tape. Remember to follow you camera manufacturer details on tape. 🙂 Hope it helps.

It only happened with one particular tape..I thought it was a tape problem until I saw other people had the problem.
It was a tape someone asked me to put onto dvd. I couldn’t do it. I haven’t had this problem with other tapes.
