Vegas Capture Problem
I am using Sony Vegas 7.0e. Whenever I capture video I notice that the edges of my subject are interlaced. It is most pronounced when there is motion. I have narrowed the problem down to the video capture in Vegas. I use a Sony HC-9 to record the video. When I capture to Vegas, I see the interlace problem on the video when I view in best quality/full screen mode. When rendered out as an avi the interlacing is still there. I have already tried changing all the Vegas project deinterlace settings. Is there a way to change how the video is captured?

The HC9 is an interlaced camera. Capture is merely data Xfer, so whatever you shot is what gets Xferred to ‘puter.
Set your project properties to Progressive, and then render to a progressive format. You’ll not see interlacing any longer.Douglas Spotted Eagle
