    Hi,

New to Vegas from Avid…. Just captured my first piece of video (after following Douglas Spotted Eagle on the VASST absolute training DVD – which is excellent, by the way). I had a 16 minute clip i wanted to capture and trim in the trimmer, before moving it to the timeline (Avid habits die hard), and whilst i pressed ‘capture’ button once it has created 4 clips in the media bin. Can anyone tull me why this would be…. many thanks in advance.
    Martin

By default, Vegas uses scene detection during capture.
This means that a new scene will be created each time you stop & re-start your camcorder.
This can be diaabled before starting your capture by opening VidCap, going Options – Prefs – Capture and deselecting Enable DV scene detection.
