Vegas 9 WAY slow
I just started using Vegas 9 (9.0e) last month, and it is running VERY slowly. It can’t keep up in the preview window (optimal playback is checked), text appears a long time after I type it in, and a 1 1/2 hour program took over a day to render (max 16 rendering threads chosen – more than I have with quad core, I imagine).
Any suggestions what could be going wrong? I will at some point be upgrading to V11, but not ready to do so just yet.
(I posted a few days ago, but as it’s now way down on the list, I guess it was overlooked)

That statement makes me suspect something on your PC. Do other programs responding like this? What is your CPU utilization when you’re typing text? Check the Windows Task Manager to see what might be using all of your CPU.
