I am Running Vegas 9 on a Quad-core 64-bit computer with 4G memory and instead of putting a new video file on the timeline almost immediately (like Vegas 6 and 8 did), it takes 4 or 5 minutes to get the file loaded. Also, it doesn’t display the actual video (thumbnails) all across the timeline like previous versions. All I see is a “thumbnail” every ten minutes or so, then a gray box the rest of the time. I can’t see to edit frames. Is there a setting I can change to get the same frame-by-frame “thumbnail” visualization like the previous versions?

    Thank you,

    Don

Theo, I think what Don is referring to is found under Options – Prefs – Video – Thumbnails to show in video events.
The default used to be All but was changed in Vegas Pro 9.
It’s quite easy to change it to whatever you want.

    That was exactly it.

‘The default used to be All but was changed in Vegas Pro 9.’

Do you know why this was changed? I would have thought that more people would have prefered the video thumbnails setting left the previous way.
