Vegas 9 Plat keeps crashing
Hi… my Sony Vegas Plat 9 keeps crashing everytime i try to import an mpg4 clip. Does any1 know of any know issues with vegas and mpg4. I have a quad core pc and shot the clip with a VPC-fh1 camcorder. Please help thanx

Yea, the problem is that most NLE’s like Vegas support the AVCHD standard for MPEG4 but most inexpensive camera makers do not implement AVCHD so it’s a gamble whether your footage will be able to be edited any any NLE not just Vegas. Sanyo cameras have had problems in the past with editing software so it’s not surprising. Read the reviews which suggest being prepared to convert your footage into something editable or be happy using the software that comes with the camera.
