I have a DVD and copied the VOB files into Vegas to view and edit. When I use PowerDVD video player, the files are about 6 and 11 minutes long, 440 MB and 770 MB approximately. But in Vegas the files are read as being just 20 seconds long or so. it seems like only 22 seconds or so are read and that’s it. Is there something I’m missing with regard to the import? Thanks in advance… this is my second time using Vegas for a project after using Pinnacle for a long time, which is much easier and more intuitive but less powerful.

You can’t copy the VOB files like that because it does truncate them. Use the import DVD disc selection instead and it will convert the DVD.

Thank you! I just found another thread of someone else with the same problem! Yes… this is unfortunate that there is no error message but very happy that it presents no problem!
