Vegas 8 video import
Vegas 8 is unable to import my video in mpg format that was shot with Sony HD camera, it says unsupported format, Vegas 7 does it without any problems. Video was not altered in any ways, it is straight copy from the camera’s hard drive to my computers drive and then I’m trying to import it. I run Windows vista. Any suggestions?

I tried Vegas 8 on XP machine the same problem, installed Vegas 7 no problems with importing my video files. I find this stupid that something that was supported in prior version is not supported in the later supposedly better version of the program not to mention that Sony made this program and camera that recorded the video 🙁

I am having the exact same problem. In vegas7 i open my mpg´s (copied straight from my Sony Handycam DCR-SR40) without any problems but in vegas 8b they simply cannot be imported…
anyone else has had this problem?
