Vegas 8 renders slower than 7?
I tried Vista and XP. Both cases Vegas 8 rendered the same material about 25 % slower than V7.
Would anyone care to do some similar tests?

On my PC, XP SP2, V8 seems to render MPEG-2 at about the same speed as V7. Tried the render test, haven’t tested any of my footage, but I do not see a noticeable slowdown.

If anything, Vegas 8 should be faster. On our machines it is slightly faster. Have you enabled 32 bit proc by chance?
