I am having problems rendering my projects to a Quicktime File in Sony’s Vegas 8.

I select Render As, then when I select the Quicktime file and hit render, my satus bar goes from 0% – 100% in one second, and there is no file to be found.

no errors, just goes straight to %100. But no file.
I’ve downloaded all the codec I think I need. But it’s not helping at all.

Oh and I guess I should also tell everybody I have Windows Vista.

    NEED HELP BADLY!!!!

    My Project Depends on it!!!
    Thanks!

Which version of QuickTime do you have installed?

I went to Apple’s website and downloaded the latest version of Quicktime.

I even tried to download some of those codec packs.

but it’s still the same. as soon as I hit render my status bar goes directly to 100%. but no file was created.

Thank you for trying to help me.

    Did you buy Quicktime?

What template are you trying to encode?

it doesn’t matter which template I select. If the file is “saved as type” – quicktime 7, it’s always the same. My Render % goes straight to %100 and when i try to open the file there is no file to be found… sigh… why couldn’t it be something dumb… like Oggvorbis….

Uncompresed Quicktime is what 90% of post production houses need for digibeta or HD transfers

    I blame Vista…. damn vista….

    thanks for helping,
    Jack
