Vegas 8 Crashing on Render
Hey everyone! My Vegas is crashing whenever I try to render anything.. it doesn’t give me an error, doesn’t say it performed an illegal act it just closes the program when the estimated time reaches around 1 minute.
I have tried to render small peices of the timeline, to see if it’s one specific area but everywhere seems to crash it.
I have 3 audio tracks and 1 video track, I tried deleted all, some and none of the tracks and still it crashes.
I’m editing 1920×1080 24p footage that was exported from After Effects.
I was able to render just fine until about 30 minutes ago, now it crashes when trying to render to everything (.mov .avi .wmv .flv, etc)
Any ideas why this is crashing? I need to get this rendered by Sunday and I’m having a heart attack right now…

If you say it was working fine 30 minutes ago, first try to do a system restore to yesterday or earlier today, and see if that helps first…
Or before you do that, you can try restarting your computer and do a
quick disc and registry cleanup to set things right.Steve Rhoden

Sometimes at this point I find I have to reinstall Vegas.
