Vegas 8 and Windows Server 2008
Windows Server 2008 64-bit is now in Beta, but its not officially supported by Sony. However, that OS is so close to the Windows Vista 64-bit version that I would welcome some confirmation that Sony Vegas 8.0a does support the Windows Vista 64-bit version. If yes, then its clearly a Vegas/Windows Server 2008 problem.
I am running many programs that are 32 bit apps, running on both Windows XP 32 bit and Windows Server 2008 64 bit versions.
Vegas 8.0a installs nicely on Windows Server 2008. It fails to run after the install. I have tried unchecking the UIC option under User settings and that did not fix the problem.

And here we are 7 month later. Server 2008 x64 has been released
I tried installing version 7.0d (trial) and 8.0b pro, but no luck
One component failed to install (i think it was called something like wmv.dll) and once installed, vegas will crash during the splash screen.
any plan to fix that ?
