vegas 7(9) and mp4 f
hello:
I just got a samsung HMX camcorder which outputs 1080/720 mp4 files. I am encountering whole host of problems editing these in vegas 7 and even in the trial version of vegas 9. My hardware is core2 laptop with 4 gig , windows 7 64 bit1. The preview is choppy and unusable. (My project properites are correctly set)
2. If I try to bring in whole bunch of clips vegas 7 crashes
3. vegas 9 trial version cannot load the audio properly, it is choppy and visibly punctuated with a constant period. The video preview also looks strangely stretchedAre there any good options I have for vegas 7? Do I have to pre convert the mp4 files?

Yes, if you want smooth playback. This is just the unfortunate nature of non-standard mp4 files.
