Vegas 7 Print to Tape
Wow! Things sure have changed from Vegas 5 to 7. In 5 I had no problems printing to tape.
Now in Vegas 7 I need to print to tape from the timeline and after about 30 seconds I get an error message. No details just vegas has an unexpected error. Error creating the media file.
I notice some settings I didn’t see in Vegas 5 so read the help file, checked all my settings but can’t seem to figure this one out.
I defragged before even trying to PTT. Also I know my Sony GV D1000 works because I can capture with it.
Can someone offer some help? What am I failing to do here. Using Vegas 7.0e
I tried both the manual and Crash (whatever that is).
Since I have a short AVI, while I’m waiting for a reply, I’ll try to PTT from the capture utility, if I can still do that in Vegas 7.
So much is new. I have “Complete Train for Vegas 7” DVD from Class on Demand. Two disks but Disk 1 is Vegas 6 and the PTT is on there. My preferences folder looks different from what’s on that DVD. The other DVD covers Vegas 7 but there’s no PTT.
HELP!

It seems to work if I render to AVI, then PTT using the capture utility.
The other item I noticed is the error message seems to come up after the rendering because there’s a render line above the timeline. So it’s somethng between rendering and actially initiating my GV-D1000 deck
