vegas 7 going to upgrade

Just follow the instructions. After installing, you will have TWO versions of Vegas installed – 4 and 7 – AND you will be able to USE either one of them. The upgrade won’t “replace”, it will install beside it.

Make sure you install the latest update from the Sony site which may be newer than what is on a CD.

However, once you use 7 on a veg, it is 7 because it isn’t backward compatible.

Does that go for Architect 4 too. I also upgraded from Vegas 4 to Vegas 7 and DVD Architect 1 to DVD Architect 4. Does it install beside and not over, and can i still use DVD Architect 1 and DVD Architect 4 separately.

Yes, DVD Architect 4 will install beside DVD Architect 1 (but you WON’T want to go back to 1!)
