We are about to install Vegas 7.0A. We have one good sized project in ver6 that is still on this machine. Will Excaliber automatically roll into Ver 7? Should we Remove Excaliber and reinstall after the update? I know that ver 7 will convert projects from ver 6, but is there a way to leave the unfinished project in ver 6 and run both versions on the machine, or would that be asking for trouble? Are there any caveates on conversion from ver 6 to ver 7?
    Thanks for your help!

If you are talking about Excalibur 5, after installing and running Vegas 7, download the current version of Excalibur and it will then show Vegas 7 as a valid target. Just let it install to all versions it shows.

If you are talking about Excalibur 4, it can be done but there’s a few manual steps to go through. The instructions are all in the JETDV Scripts section at http://www.jetdv.com for both versions.

I just uploaded version 5.0.6 of Excalibur which has some fixes to make it work better in Vegas 7. If you are using Vegas 7, you definitely will want to update. For a full list of what’s been updated, check out that info in the JETDV Scripts section at the link under my name.
