I just upgraded from Vegas 5 and DVD 2. I know I’m way behind, but I have found a couple things I am concerned about.

Vegas 7 won’t open VOB files like I could with Vegas 5, anything to this?

DVD 4 creating a loop DVD of several spots with no menu would not start at the beginning spot but started at the secone. I checked the first spot indicator and it was correct. Plus it would not start automatically, I had to tell it to start. I opened my DVD 2 and recreated the same project, no problem.

Next DVD 4 opening a project originally made with DVD 2 starts the process of burning, then goes into a mode that just sits there with the time remaining counting up. I actually let it go for over 30 minutes, and finally had to close it down. First thought it was just something strange with the DVD, tried again with a new DVD same problem. tried again with another project and same problem.

    Any ideas fellows?
Or should I not have upgraded?

Vegas 7 works fine with vob files. Try dragging them over from the Windows Explorer.

DVDA4 has some burner compatability problems. I have never gotten it to work with my Pioneer burners.

    Thank you Gary,
I never thought of dragging from windows explorer, Just tried it and it worked fine. I always used the Vegas explorer and dragged them into the timeline.

I think I may have problems with the DVD 4 since our two DVD burners are both Pioneer.
Is there a list of compatibility anywhere? I presume Sony works just fine, right?

    Again Thank you,
    Charlie
