Anyone having this problem or know how to fix it?

Vegas 7.0d with Decklink Extreme HD card and 6.1 drivers. I have yet to get the two working together. Everytime I want to preview (just preview the clip – nothing fancy) on Decklink, when I go to configure the preview device my decklink choice says “device unavailable”. Works great in AE. Tried reinstalling drivers, Vegas, but no luck

    Any tips *really* appreciated

    Cheers

I guess I’m the only one with this problem? Perhaps others who are using Decklink could let me know if their Vegas/Decklink setups are working.

I am not trying to do anything fancy, just preview via decklink

    Thanks

    Hi Brian,

In-order to use the DeckLink HD Extreme card with Vegas, you need to down grade your DeckLink driver to V5.6 (driver can be downloaded from Blackmagic WWW). Remove your V6.xx, install V5.6 and restart the computer. Your Vegas should able to recognize the DeckLink HD Extreme card. FYI, up to now, V5.6 is the only driver that works with Vegas (not …V5.5 nor V5.7…). I had the same problem before.

    Good luck
