    Hello,

I’ve got a Decklink HD Pro system I built, running Premiere Pro 1.5, and I’m thinking of trying Vegas 6 now that it “supports hd”. Has anyone seen this working??? My goal is to work with uncompressed HD and HDV footage on the same timeline with realtime playback through the Decklink HD Pro’s analog HD output, decklink hd with premiere can only playback uncompressed HD in real time (currently). Ideally, I’d bring in the HDV footage via firewire and the HDcam footage via HD-SDI uncompressed, and anytime anything needs rendering it would render out uncompressed so not to loose quality.

Any knowledge or experience you guys have got with this work flow would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Stewart

just make sure your hard drives have the thru-put for the uncompressed HD ( ?? 122mgs ?) = you’ll need a RAID … the HDV will be no problem ( either as mpeg or cineform files)
