Vegas 6 and Panasonic HVX200 (P2)
Is it possible to edit HD from the HVX200 in Vegas? All I keep seeing is that it records to HD in DVCPro format which I believe Vegas can’t handle.
We are about to spring for an HD camera and the HVX was a front runner.

i believe for now you would go over to http://www.dvfilm.com and use their raylight software then you can edit in Vegas

We are making our purchase tuesday and it seems like we have it narrowed down to the Panasonic or the JVC HDV cam.

Thanks for the help guys. Looks like we are going with the Canon after all. As for HVX200 availability, I guess we just have the right connections because there is one sitting at a store waiting for us if we wanted it. 🙂
