vegas 4 help
can someone help me with adding video into vegas 4 to edit it. i try to import my video clips and it only adds the audio… it also says the my streams couldnt be dtermined in the preview window? can anyone give me some advise on how to ecode or how to add them to the timeline.

Sounds like you don’t have the proper video codec installed for the type of video you are trying to load. Where did the video come from? For example, many still cameras will take “video” clips but to load those in Vegas requires using an MJPEG codec to be installed.

i got the video directly from my USB 2 cam, a samsung sports cam SC-X105L NTSC and a mem stick PRO.

USB is not designed for capturing video. I don’t know what kind of camera that is but the standard method is capturing to a DV-AVI file via firewire. You’ll need to determine what codec is used in that file and then install a version that will let Vegas decode that type of file (AVI is just a wrapper that holds many different types of files).
