Vegas 12 – transitions not working
Hello everyone! As a preface, I’m new to this site as well as to Sony Vegas.
Specs – – –
Sony Vegas Pro 12
Processor: Intel core i7 4270HQ CPU @ 2.6GHzThe issue I’m facing is that my transitions have stopped working (cross-effect, disolve, etc). They appear on the timeline but not in the preview window even after pre-rendering sections as well as ensuring that split-screen is not enabled. I’ve tried manually overlapping clips to create a crossfade but this still doesn’t yield a visible fade in the preview window.
Does anyone have any ideas of things I should check to fix this?

Make sure that you haven’t disabled automatic crossfades. (Options | Automatic Crossfades Ctrl+Shift+X)

Already checked; they’re still enabled.

That was my only guess. Other than that I would say reset Vegas Pro. This will change all of your preferences and settings back to the defaults on the day it as first installed bit it might fix your problem. Hold down Ctrl+Shift while you double-click the Vegas icon to start it. It will prompt you to reset everything and you should answer Yes. You will have to make any changes in the preferences again because they will all be reset to the default. The hope is that whatever is causing your transitions not to work will also be reset back to a working state. Good luck.
