Vegas 12 Shortcut Key for Ripple Edit
After several years editing primarily on Adobe Premiere, I am now re-acquainting myself with Vegas – Vegas 12 to be exact. In Premiere, I am used to quickly trimming clips using the Ripple Edit combo of Control key and simply drag the edge. I know Control L toggles Auto Ripple in Vegas, but is there a way in Vegas to Ripple Edit the same as in Premiere?

I use ripple all the time and couldn’t do without it.
Ctrl/L is so inconvenient.
I’ve set mine up so I can use the caps lock key, just one key.
Go to options/customize keyboard
type in ripple at the “show commands containing” area.
That will bring up all the ripple effects.
I have set the “options.DoAutoRipple” to caps lock.
You can replace it or add it to your hot keys.
I’ve replaced mine.Hope that helps.

I like “post edit ripple”. Shortcut “F”. I normally have leave auto ripple off. Post edit ripple options can do more than typical auto ripple.
No matter what you pretty much can work how you want with the shortcut you want with Vegas by customizing commands.

Yea, the “F” key is very quick and easy. That’s what I use.
